Clinical report and literature review were carried out for SDI Limited,

Early in my carrier I carried out some research on teeth whitening for SDI.  SDI is an Australian company that manufactures teeth whitening products ‘Pola Day’, ‘Pola Night’ and other teeth whitening products and dental products.

I was finding many patients would ask about teeth whitening, the unfortunate fact is that I didn’t receive a great amount of training at university about teeth whitening.  So I decided to improve my education on teeth whitening instead of just listening to dental reps spruiking their products.

After doing some initial research I chose ‘Pola Day’and ‘Pola Night’ products to use in my research project as they had proven to be the most upto date combination of materials on the market at the time, with densensitisers added into the product and a neutral pH level, which I had found were important aspects of reducing tooth sensitivity during the teeth whitening process.
